and answer the following questions:
What will it really take to get equal respresentation at the top-level of Fortune 500 companies? Why do you think that most companies claim to promote diversity however there is not equal pay for all employees? Or equal representation at all levels of the organization? Do you think that the discrepancies are intentional or unintentional?
Why do you think that this topic is included as part of Corporate Social Responsibility?

To get equal respresentation at the top-level of a Fortune 500 company will take some time because it has obviously yet to happen. I feel that retaliation might help the matter. I fel that it is an issue that need to be adressed.
I think that many companies claim to promote diversity and fail to comply with it because it has always been that women and minorities earn less. I think that the reason that there is no change is because much of the workforce is controlled by the white male.
Very rearly do we see women or minorities in high positions in companies and when it happens it is acknowleged as an achivement gor that gender or race.
I think that the discrepancies are intentional. It happens all with in companies and it all begins when you are asked to keep you salary to yourself and not discussed with co-workers.
This topic has been included to protect, benefit individuals, society and avoid actions that could harm them.
What will it take to get equal representation? When these companiesrealize it doesn't take a degree to do the job. There are alot of people that have years of experience but no degrees. Who do the ones with degrees turn for answers because they have no clue what their doing. It's the people with no degrees that make the others look good in their jobs.
When will these companies realize women have more to offer. Were not trophies or playthings. We devote just as much time and effort into our jobs as any man.
What age bracket are the people running these companies? If this is the older generation they are still stuck in a time zone when a woman place is in theur homes and discrimination against other races other than their own.
Things won't change until they retire.
Isnt it hard to believe that many companies said "we have equal opportunities" but do they really mean it. I agree when they said that sometimes women stay at home to take care of their kids and thats the reason why sometimes they feel like they dont deserve a raise but what about men who work really hard and try their best but unfortunaly that dont matter. They can have 20 years of experience and have a good work record but if you dont have a diploma you dont count isnt that sad???I hope that this company do what they said and be equal with everyone giving them the same opportunity as others.....
Why is it that people cant get treat equal as companies said? Why we keep reading about the differences in wages and on high level positions. There are always excuses to the why he/she is not promoted but are they really real or what its the problem. I think that it is good that they take people who has education, but dont make the other people feel like they are worthless. I believe that the big companies hire the best people but do they give a chance to other or they look at their backgroung........
I see this as many men are intimidated by women or people of color in general that are intelligent and out shine their own ideas. But only through working together with diverse groups of people can you really open your eyes to great possibilities. Through the avoidance of a changing world you can only fall behind eventually with such outdated thinking. How to solve this is only through open-minded people can we progress. Some top level employees rise above using others ideas not their own. In the corporate environment it is very difficult to decipher the very ones that will actually navigate these waters. I believe my job as manager is to help any who are interested in progressing to upper levels of management. And am happy to have contributed to someone else's growth. I hope as male, female, colored or of any nationality that we all help each other in attaining our goals. Solving this problem should be obvious to everyone and simply done, but all that has been taken is slow baby steps. Quite sad really in a nation that has grown from nothing, that we find ourselves at a standstill is this. Maybe it's from the Declaration of Independence that stated that all men are created equal when it I hope was intended to say that we are all created equal and therefore intitled to the same hopes and dreams of attaining our personal happiness.
